Recallant

When buyers ask AI for a recommendation, is your product in the answer?

More software buyers now ask Perplexity or ChatGPT "what's the best tool for…" before they visit a single vendor site. Recallant measures whether those answers name your product, which sources they rely on, and what you can change.

What we found in October 2026

Helpdesk software 44 buying questions, each asked 5 times on Perplexity (220 answers). Some vendors' own pages were used as sources in every answer to a question, yet the vendor was never named as an option.
IT management software 44 ITSM and MSP buying questions, 220 Perplexity answers. One MSP tool was named in over a third of answers but recommended first in only 1 of 70.

Full studies are available on request.

How it works

  1. Snapshot (free): 20 questions your buyers actually ask, run several times on Perplexity. A one-page summary of where you're named, where you're missing, and which pages AI is citing.
  2. Audit: a full question set across your category, with competitor share of voice and the specific pages and sources to fix first.
  3. Re-check: the same questions re-run later, so you can see whether the changes moved the answers.

Who it's for

B2B SaaS teams, especially helpdesk, IT management and customer support tools, who want to know how AI assistants describe their category before their buyers do.
